Why Green Tea is good for us

Why Green Tea is good for us

For thousands of years, Chinese people have been drinking green tea with every meal and despite their traditionally high carb, high fat diet, they have enjoyed one of the lowest rates of disease and are among the slimmest nations on the globe. It is believed that the hot tea aids digestion by helping the fat in the meal dissipate in the body whilst providing a range of beneficial antioxidants.

This delicious and refreshing drink is loaded with antioxidants which provide many health benefits, including improved brain function, fat metabolism, protecting against cancer and lowering the risk of heart disease. A comprehensive review of observational studies found that women who drank the most green tea had an approximately 20-30% lower risk of developing breast cancer, one of the most common cancer in women. In addition, an analysis of 29 studies showed that those drinking green tea were around 42% less likely to develop colorectal cancer.

Drinking hot green tea after a meal will help soothe your stomach and reduce the effects of cancer or cancer treatments such as nausea and especially aid digestion for people with pancreatic, colon, bowel or intestinal cancer.
